Weekend Box Office: April 23-25, 2010

Happy Monday everyone! April is a few days away from being a thing of the past, and I find myself thinking “where the heck is 2010 going?”  Summer time  is just around the corner and if you haven’t done so already, check out  The Real Reel’s ‘Summer Movie Guide,’ your official guide to summer movie watching fun.

As for the box office, it was an interesting weekend as two new releases failed to live up to their hype.

  1. How to Train Your Dragon
  2. The Back-up Plan
  3. Date Night
  4. The Losers
  5. Kick-Ass
  6. Clash of the Titans
  7. Death at a Funeral
  8. Oceans
  9. The Last Song
  10. Alice in Wonderland

‘How to Train Your Dragon’ effortlessly claimed the number one spot this week, while Jennifer Lopez’s ‘The Back-up Plan’ debuted at number two. ‘Date Night’ held its own against new release ‘The Losers,’ but ‘Kick-Ass’ had a harder time retaining their crown and found itself down four spots from last week. The Earth Day epic ‘Oceans’ clocked in at number eight and ‘Alice in Wonderland’ rounded out the top 10.

Out this week:  ‘Furry Vengeance’  and ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street

    Happy Monday Back Atcha!

I read that Dragon went back up to #1. How cool is that. I have yet to see Losers and Kick Ass. My Son and his GF saw Kick Ass and they really, really liked it. I have to go asap.

Did you see Losers? How was it?

    • I saw the Losers this weekend, and I thought it was pretty good. Could’ve been a little longer to tie up a few loose ends better, but it was fun. If I had to choose though, I’d go see Kick-Ass again. 🙂
