‘Breaking Dawn’ scores a director

It’s official!! I mean like really official, Bill Condon will direct the fourth installment of the ‘Twilight Saga.’

Summit Entertainment  had the following to say about their decision in choosing the Academy Award winning director:

“Bringing Stephenie Meyer’s ‘Breaking Dawn’ to the screen requires a graceful and intelligent hand and we believe Bill Condon is exactly the right steward, having shown equal and abundant talents of immense creativity and subtle sensitivity.”

Condon, who was from of short list of directors which included Sofia Coppola and Gus Van Sant, had this to say about his new job:

“I’m very excited to get the chance to bring the climax of this saga to life on-screen,” says Condon. “As fans of the series now, this is a one-of-a-kind book – and we’re hoping to create an equally unique cinematic experience.”

As of right now it’s unclear if Breaking Dawn will be split into two films,  but one thing for sure is that the anticipation for this project is already  through the roof.
