Paramount tries its luck with a Magic 8 Ball film

…and sadly there is no punchline.

According to Deadline,  Paramount has reached out to Mattel about using their Magic 8 Ball as the core for a live action adventure film.  I swear–– I’m not making this up.  The deal is currently being put into action by Paramount President Adam Goodman, and John Mann and Jon Gunn  will pen the script.

I’ll refrain from my rant but I have to ask— why the Magic 8 Ball??  Granted this film could turn out like ‘Jumanji’ and be totally awesome;  but wouldn’t it be easier to just do a Barbie movie?  As far as I know  its never been done before, at least not in terms of live action, and we all know it’s bankable as hell.

Just throwing that idea out there—  unless there’s a Etch a Sketch movie in the works that I don’t know about.

Which childhood toy would you like to see on the big screen??

Candy Land directed by Tim Burton.

Magic 8 Ball would be cool if they turned it into a horror film. Whatever the ball says goes and it’s not going to show you the answers you thought it would. MwaHaHaHaHa

    I love horror movies = )
