Spike Lee gets back behind the lens

Spike Lee is currently in talks to step behind the camera again. It’s been almost two years since his last film  but according to Deadline the man responsible for ‘Crooklyn’ (one of my favorites) is gearing up to direct the thriller ‘Nagaski Deadline’.

The film, which is scheduled to be shot next fall, is about a FBI agent who tries to prevent a terrorist attack on American soil.

Early reports had James Cameron attached to the project as a producer, but sources have since confirmed that the news is not true, although he did have interest in the project. Taking his place as producers are his partners John Landau and Rae Sanchini.

The film was penned by David and Peter Griffiths years ago, but was dropped due to the after effects of September 11th.  Since then, the road has been long and narrow but with the  addition of Spike Lee  the journey just became a little bit easier.
