Weekend Box Office: October 22-24,2010

Is it really the last week in October? Where did 2010 go?  Crazy.

We’ve reached our final stretch of popcorn/crowd pleasing  films  and from here on out, most of the new releases should be award caliber films. Emphasis on should be. The jury is still out on if they will be.

No surprises here as Paranormal Activity 2 dominated the box office this weekend, making Jackass 3D’s reign at number one short-lived.  Clint Eastwood’s ‘Hereafter’ was given the wide release treatment this weekend, which allowed it to jump from the number 28 spot to number four, while ‘The Social Network’ rounded out the top five.  ‘Easy A’ completed the top 10 with a total gross of $54.7M.
