Weekend Box Office: November 5-7, 2010

Another Monday equals another week  and hopefully everyone enjoyed their extra hour of sleep, and a good movie at the box office this weekend. We’re inching closer to the holiday season and it’s hard to believe that 2010 is almost over– not to mention The Real Reel is only 47 hits away from our 25,000th hit! In case I miss the milestone, which will most likely happen,   I just want to thank everyone who ever clicked on a link that redirected you to this site! And of course, the regular readers who visit this site daily. It’s appreciated more than you know!

But back to the original task at hand— here’s your weekend box office:

1. Megamind

2. Due Date

3. For Colored Girls

4. Red

5. Saw 3D

6. Parnormal Activity

7. Jackass 3D

8. Hereafter

9. Secretariat

10. The Social Network

A surprise turn of events at the box office this weekend as Will Ferrell’s ‘Megamind’ claims the top spot, followed by ‘Due Date’ and ‘For Colored Girls’. This is the first time in a while, at least to my recollection, that three opening films have claimed the top three spots. ‘ Saw 3D’s’ hype dwindled into the number 5 spot and ‘The Social Network’ rounded out the top 10.

Out this week: Morning Glory, Unstoppable,  and Skyline
