Christopher Nolan to meet with actresses for The Dark Knight Rises

What do Anne Hathaway, Keira Knightly, Blake Lively, Natalie Portman, Naomi Watts and Rachel Weisz all have in common? Well for starters, with Lively out of the equation, they’re all Academy Award nominated actresses but most importantly, with Lively placed back into the equation, they’re all in the running for two female lead roles in The Dark Knights Rises.

According to Deadline, the two roles up for grabs are a love interest and a villain, but the important details are being kept under lock and key.

From this shortlist,  Weisz is the only one who could successfully pull off  being a villain, not  to mention she was the rumored villain in the now defunct Bond 23. As for the love interest,  Watts would pair nicely with Christian Bale and bring a sophistication to the role that hasn’t been there in the previous installments.  Portman would offer the same sophistication, but she’s already the love interest in Thor.

Nolan is famous for keeping audiences in the dark in regards to casting, so it’s going to be interesting to see who makes the cut and who doesn’t.

Very interesting. I agree with you on your picks except for Portman. I think Watts would be much better, she seems to fit the vibe.

I can’t wait to hear more about this.
I am a bit confused about the title, didn’t The Dark Knight Rise in Begins? = P

    Have a great Friday!
