Weekend Box Office: Dec. 31, 2010- Jan. 2, 2011

Happy New Year! The holiday’s are officially over,  and I couldn’t think of  better way to overcome the lull of the first day back at work than with the first official weekend box office of 2011. Albeit a little unimpressive, its something—

1. Little Fockers

2. True Grit

3. Tron: Legacy

4. Yogi Bear

5. The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader

6. Tangled

7. The Fighter

8. Gulliver’s Travels

9. Black Swan

10. The King’s Speech

Little Fockers reigned supreme during the final holiday weekend, followed by the Coen brother’s True Grit, which has now become their highest grossing film.  Chronicles of Narnia rounded out the top five, while Black Swan and The King’s Speech completed the top 10.  Speaking of Black Swan, the film has made over $47M domestically, making it Darren Aronofsky’s highest grossing film to date.  What a great way to end the year for both the Coen brothers and Darren Aronofsky!

Out this weekCountry Strong and Season of the Witch
