Robert Pattinson has signed on to replace Colin Farrell in David Cronenberg’s CosmopolisMarion Cotillard and Paul Giamatti are also set to star. With Water For Elephants, starring Oscar winners Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz, and now Cosmopolis, Pattinson’s post-Twilight career is shaping up to be something special.

In other news… according to Natalie Portman, both Tom Tykwer and the Wachowski brothers will direct Cloud Atlas together.  Portman also divulged that she would have a small role in the film, once the small issue of financing was taken care of.

Fresh off the news that she’d be joining The Social Network’s Andrew Garfield in the forthcoming Robert Capa biopic, Gemma Arterton is starting the new off right by landing the lead role in Hansel & Gretel. The up and coming actress will star alongside Academy Award nominee Jeremy Renner and the film is set to begin shooting on March 7 in Berlin.

McG has landed the coveted honor of directing  Ouija— the film about the board game that summons dead spirits. On a personal note, I already see where this is headed and I must say that I liked this movie better 15 years ago, when it was called Jumanji!!

Lastly, Sam Rockwell has signed on to star opposite Brad Pitt in Coogan’s Trade. Casey Affleck is also rumored to star in the Andrew Dominik directed adaptation of Georg V. Higgins novel. Maybe he’s looking to bounce back from the epic fail that was I’m Still Here.
