2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards winners

The night belonged, yet again, to The King’s Speech as the acclaimed actors picked up the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Motion Picture honor tonight at the 17th Screen Actors Guild Awards. This is just the latest in a long line of guild honors that the film has claimed in the last couple of weeks, including a win at last weekend’s Producers Guild Awards and last night’s Directors Guild Awards.

The 2-hour long ceremony also honored veteran actor Ernest Borgnine with the Lifetime Achievement Award.  Next on the awards season agenda, the 2011 BAFTAS where The King’s Speech is also the favorite to win.

Best Actor: Colin Firth, The King’s Speech

Best Actress: Natalie Portman, Black Swan

Best Supporting Actor: Christian Bale, The Fighter

Best Supporting Actress: Melissa Leo, The Fighter
